3-year graduation plan offers some Texas students fast path to college

The Hutto school district is working on a new cure for senioritis — that fit of indolence that strikes fourth-year high school students as they breeze past their graduation requirements — by offering top students a three-year path through high school.

Hutto is positioned to be the first Central Texas district to offer the three-year graduation plan, which has been available in the Dallas school district since 2014. It’s one of a growing number of options for students willing to put in the work to get a jump-start on college.
